ICE PICTURES (4/18/04)

This is the dock that attaches to the front porch, which is the only dock that was still in the water when the ice blew in. Obviously it's not there anymore. (I wonder what happened to the posts!)
Here's the shoreline between the front porch and cabin # 3. I'm anxious to see what the shoreline looks like after the ice melts, but it doesn't look like it did much damage.
This is what's left of the dock posts near cabin # 3. It's a good thing the dock boards were on the shore.
Here are the dock posts near cabin # 4; notice that most of the lake is still covered with the ice sheet. I saw a pair of Golden Eyes swimming in that little bit of open water this morning.
Here's a picture of the Cattails in the water near the fire pit. Notice how the vegetation in the water prevented the ice from reaching the shoreline.
